The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it really is alarmed about the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance position created for intervention ordeals a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to enable the servicing SRD of all customers and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
